About Woofles Petfood - Auckland's Best Pet Food Shop

We purchased a well-established business selling fresh pet food in early 2008. The shop had already been making and selling Raw Pet Food products for about 17 years before we purchased it, it was very well known in the Franklin area, but had become quite run down.
Chris and myself have done a huge amount of research on different raw food meat products and have gained a great deal of knowledge and passion for this natural species appropriate way of feeding cats and dogs. We see people on a daily basis that have been struggling for years with unhealthy pets who in the space of only a week or two of being on one of our recommended Raw Food diet plans, have managed to turn their pets' health around 180 degrees.
Chris who is also a qualified chef and IT consultant has had a long affiliation with dogs. His parents Jan (who you may have seen in the shop from time to time) and his father Fred, were puppy walkers for Guide Dog Services for a number of years, so naturally Chris also became a puppy walker and raise over 10 dogs for Guide Dogs over the 8 years that he worked for them as an onsite staff member. Purchasing this business has been like a natural progression and has allowed us to really find a passion that we can pass on to others and their pets.
In recent times Chris has also discovered a real passion for Dog Agility and is currently competing in agility and flygility with his two dogs King and Abbey, for Counties Dog Training Club most weekend and has become a very popular member of their club. His youngest dog Rusty, is currently training and will be entered in her first competition in October 2011. Our ribbon wall is the corner of the shop bares testiment to how good both he and the dogs have already become at competing. As these dogs are putting a lot of high impact on their body when they compete, it is important that they are fed an extremely well balanced diet to aid with bone and muscle development, respitory strength and brain development to ensure quick and accurate learning.
The business continues to grow in leaps and bounds and we are finding that we are getting very well known for our quality product, both locally and much further afield, as freighting of product around the North Island has become a weekly occurrence. In late 2009 we invited Katrina from Positively Helpful Animal Homeopathy to set up a consultation and product area in the shop and there are even bigger plans for the future.
Feel free to call or flick us an email or better still come in to store for a chat and a look at our products. Coffee is always appreciated too (Chris prefers a double shot trim latte and Shane a Mochaccino Thanks).
